Thank you to everyone who has joined our pickleball community over the last few weeks. It’s been great to see so many new faces at the club, and thanks to all of you who have shared your feedback.
Fitting a new sport into the Airhall has been a challenge, as demand for space there is very high, but this is balanced by the ‘anytime’ availability of our outdoor courts (weather permitting). We believe we now have most areas covered, so here’s what’s new.
Membership extended to 1 January 2028
As a thank you for supporting pickleball at BSC, anyone who joins in October or November will have their membership extended to 1 January 2028.
We’re also keeping our introductory rates open until 30 November for anyone still deciding: just £70 for pickleball membership, or £50 to add pickleball to an existing BSC membership (rising to £100 and £60 from 1 December). See pickleball membership options.
Member match courts in the Airhall
Members can now book an Airhall court for matches in one-hour blocks:
- Wednesday: 10–11am and 11am–12pm
- Thursday: 12:30–1:30pm and 1:30–2:30pm
- Saturday: 4:30–5:30pm and 5:30–6:30pm
- Sunday: 5:30–6:30pm and 6:30–7:30pm
To book, email manager@bromleysportsclub.co.uk at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the court will be released for others to use. The outdoor pickleball courts can be booked as usual.
Social sessions
Social session times stay the same. Players will decide on the day whether to play in the Airhall or outdoors, and the Sunday morning session will be confirmed as indoors or outdoors at the start of each week. Not ready to join yet? You can keep playing pay & play in the meantime.
Airhall court lines
Apologies for the problems with the court lines in the Airhall. Our court contractors, Trevor May, will be redoing them and adding lines to Court 8, giving us four marked pickleball courts in the Airhall.
Coming in November: Open Day & Americano
We’ll be running an Open Day and Americano in November, led by Lamar, followed by a get-together to hear your feedback and share the club’s plans for the future. Watch this space for the date.
